Pay Rate: $13 per hour
General Description of Work
Responsible for ministering to female guests from the homeless population during the afternoon and evening shift. This position maintains a safe environment of the women’s program and referral area and provides a relational and ministerial presence to women served in our Burnside Shelter. Experience working with vulnerable women is preferred.
Work alongside program participants, modeling a life in Christ, building relationships, and encouraging women as they move forward.
Respond to phone inquiries regarding the Connect Program and other options.
Maintain a safe and healing environment for women staying at the Mission.
Knowledgeable of outside resources in order to help women address recovery, mental health support, employment, and housing.
Capable of handling difficult situations in a sensitive and confident manner.
Demonstrate flexibility in working together as a team member for the common goals of the mission including performance of tasks outside the parameters of this job description.
Knowledgeable in how different aspects of the program operate and be able to cover.
